REGULATIONS
INTERNATIONAL VIOLIN COMPETITION "YOUNG PAGANINI"
LEGNICA 7 - 9 MARCH 2018
- The competition will take place on 7 - 9.03.2018 in the Knight's Academy (Akademia Rycerska) on the Chonjowska 2 street in Legnica.
- The organizer of the event is The Center For Arts Education in Warsaw, partner is the Music School in Legnica.
- The competition includes two stages and will be held in two age groups.
- Younger Group - violinists born after 31.12.2001
- Older Group - violinists born after 01.12.1998
- ANY N. PAGANINI'S COMPOSITION OR CAPRICE.
(excluding performing fragments of cyclical composition eg.: one fragment of a sonata or a concert, with the exeption of "La Campanella") - ANY VIRTUOS COMPOSITION.
With piano accompaniment or for solo violin(excluding performing fragments of cyclical composition)
- the duration of the first stage should not exceed 20 minutes. - The order of performing the earlier notified compositions is arbitrary. Participants are obliged to play the chosen compositions from memory.
- A jury appointed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. The jury's verdicts are irrevocable and unenforceable.
- The students of jury members can not participate in competition
- Participants - auditions will be held publicly, in the alphabetical order, starting from the candidate chosen by drawing of lots, that will be conducted on 5.02.2018.
- Each contestant is obliged to arriving an hour before their performance (time can change to 30 minutes)
- The winners of the first three places and the special awards in each age group will be awarded the title of the laureate of the International Violin Competition "Young Paganini".
- The organizers reserve the right to free recordings during the auditions and the winners' concert.There is sum offered to the prize-winners.
- Applications forms should be sent only electronically by the deadline of 31.01.2018.

- The entry fee for the competition is 40 euros. We will inform you about the transfer details soon on the website.
- The contest schedule, any changes and information updates will be listed on www.mlodypaganini.pl
- The contestants and accompanists themselves cover the costs of travel, accommodation and meals.
- Prizes and diplomas will be awarded on the last day of the contest.
- During the awards ceremony and gala concert a full/ceremonial dress is obligatory.
- The organizer reserves the right to make any changes in the regulations. The changes in the regulations will be posted on www.mlodypaganini.pl
- All doubts and questions concerning the provisions of the these regulations shall be resolved on the basis of the Polish text.
